  1. Breaking news from Oz - Matt Peterson has suffered a drugs overdose and has been rushed to hospital. Apparently he was on the Gold Coast with the Titans squad following their loss in the play-off's. This is being reported on Channel 7 in the Aussie media. Is he still contracted to Wakefield or has he retired?
  2. Okay he's chopped and changed his allegiance. But... if we are to build the profile of the International game (starting with a meaningful 4 Nations Tournament) then this is good news. As long as he doesn't change his mind again
  3. Will he get a visa? I know he's transgressed many times on the field over the years, but what's his record off the pitch? Anything that might get the immigration people's spider senses tingling?
  4. I know these lads don't earn anything even approaching soccer wages, but nevertheless wouldn't it be refreshing to see items like this being auctioned for (example) a local hospice or childrens ward?
  5. Yep you might be right there about Brian Carney - but we definitely deserve a new anchor in place for all RL coverage on Sky. Have now watched this weeks show and unfortunately Hemmings was back in the presenters chair - excellent analysis again from Jon Wells, but spoiled by Eddie's glassy stare after each segment followed by the usual glib comment. I think Sky could learn from the BBC on this - get someone in like Clare Balding who shows genuine enthusiasm for the game, who doesn't claim to have an opinion worthy of discussion, and who doesn't preach to the converted with patronising scripted hyperbole. Oh and BTW, agree wholeheartedly with previous comment on Stephen Ball - he's doing some great work.
  6. I watched Boots N All last week for the first time this season. I'd completely given up watching because it was making me want to throw things at the telly. I've skyplus'd tonights show to watch tomorrow. Agree that Jon Wells is a superb addition. It could improve further by getting Brian Carney to present it - I watched a few of the Supermen of Super League (or whatever it's called) on Skyplayer the other day and I reckon Brian could become a very, very good presenter. Bill Arthur is okay at pitchside, but in the studio he comes across as an enthusiastic amateur (almost like he's in the Halifax adverts). Moral of the story is; time for Eddie and Stevo to be gradually put out to grass - Sky can then give us the mature, insightful coverage that we all deserve.
  7. How old are you Mick? Is this some sort of school project that you are publishing online for feedback before you submit it to your teacher?
  8. Exactly my thoughts when I saw the subject line. Stupid thread.
  9. If you're as dull and self-obsessed on the phone as you are on here, then I imagine they are screening your calls.
  10. I can't find the smiley that denotes someone holding up a handbag and shouting "eeeeeeewwww" so I'll do it myself to the screen of my pc.
  11. Nonsense. If you read some of your comments on this thread, then you'll see that you've been pretty abusive yourself.
