  1. So perhaps SL won't be for him either?
  2. Cleary's Origin record is 8 wins and 9 losses, and he has never won a Game 3 decider. He doesn't really have an iconic SOO game or moment.
  3. Perhaps Cleary needs to give SL a shot? Might be more at his level.
  4. There is a lingering feeling that Cleary has under delivered at Origin level. He has had a couple of good performances but mostly I feel he has been pretty ordinary and basically a passenger in the game. The loss of Mitchell Moses is what turned this series against NSW.
  5. To me, Castleford are occupying a position on the table I would expect given their squad. Not sure what more McGuire could've done.
  6. Salford are surely finished as a SL team, although the talk of going to 14 teams is interesting. Are there really 3 teams who could make the jump?
  7. Apologies if I'm out of the loop with all of this, but what are the team owners doing exactly? Was the takeover approved? Do they have any money? If not, why was it approved? Why would someone takeover a club if they don't have money to do anything?
  8. Pyongyang. England finally beat the Kangaroos under the expert guidance of Kim Jong-un.
  9. Catalans are simply terrible at the moment. The only guys who seem motivated are Da Costa, Partington, Maria, Martin, and Rouge, the rest are simply collecting pay cheques.
  10. Will hopefully be a lot better than Luke Keary.
  11. Wayne Bennett speaking enthusiastically with the media is a sure sign he is losing the plot. Lewis Dodd wasn't really all that great in SL, not sure why anyone thought he would be good in the NRL. Who is actually responsible for his Souths signing?
  12. Permanent holiday?! Has anyone ever gone on a cruise or stayed in a resort? Nice for a few days but pretty quickly you get bored. I guess one could leave the resort in Port Moresby and mingle with the locals roaming the streets with machetes looking to kidnap wealthy foreigners. I hope V'landys has a ransom fund in the back pocket? "The Overseas Advisory Council, which is the crime-watching branch of the U.S. State Department, argues that crime in New Guinea cities, notably Port Moresby and Lae, are among the highest in the world. Raskols, which is the PNG term for criminal gangs, are active throughout the country. Kidnappings, home invasions, car-jackings, gang rapes (called “pack rapes” in New Guinea) and armed robbery are routine. OSAC recommends the use of security escorts, 24/7 guard surveillance of homes and places of business, and the wearing of personal tracking devices to allow for easier rescue in the event of an abduction."
  13. I really fear England are going to struggle. The first game might be close, but once the Australians are clicking I think it could easily be 20 point margins. The big variable is how many SOO players decide to represent heritage teams instead.
  14. Pro D2 is a lot of fun, particularly some of the crazier games between teams lower in the table. Anyway, I do wonder if we will see more of this? Not sure if I can think of a ready-to-go RL example as currently one would need to get cameras set up at Championship and League One games, whereas the Pro D2 already has all that covered.
