  1. I'm equally as disapponted that I didn't know about this as I'm concerned that nobody connected to the club thinks its a good idea to advertise these events more widely than Twitbook.
  2. The RFL still have to let us back. We'll see.
  3. The key thing there for No.2 is you haven't put Council / RFL. Yet the RFL are looking favourably at another bid ? I did say I may be off the mark but I was assuming that any bid better than their own joint bid was likely to be the 'asset stripper'.
  4. I'm probably off the mark and apologies if this offends anyone. Do we therefore have 3 bids... the consortium involving Cookey (which we all like the sound of and involves people who actually care what happens to the club), a consortium that invoves ****s who are in it for the money and who will strip the club of its assets meaning the likely end of the club as we know it, then a third bid involving the RFL / WMDC. From the above though...if the RFL is looking favourably at a bid other than it's own joint bid aren't we well and truly screwed ? Now either I've misunderstood this or I have indeed been correct in saying for many years that the powers that be want rid of us. If I have understood correctly how does WMDC apparently have so little control over it's own joint bid ?
  5. Thanks for this........
  6. Serious question but, not being a facebooker, is anyone able to tell me what goes on at these events ? Assuming / hoping there will be more - Even if it's essentially based around a few light ales - I'm ok with that ! It's just that I can't just pop in as I live (probably said this many times on here) t'other side of Wakey and need to make arrangements - especially if I can get a couple of mates to come who are also 'outsiders' living out of Fevland . Cheers.
  7. Never at any point was this in any doubt in my mind. They haven't got any players have they ? Not that such trivial details will have affected the RFL's decision to let them back.
  8. For a minute I thought that meant there was some potential overseas investor.
  9. Not for the first time I just can't understand what the majority of people on here are on about. Why in Gods name are so many people defending the see you next Tuesday that is objecting to the proposed licence. As has been said this is an arrangement that has been in place for a long time so I doubt that the objector has genuine reasons. A Cas fan with a grudge maybe? Who knows but either way they are no Rovers fan and I bet they are p*ssing themselves right now. The club has gone - probably forever. Yet so many of you seem content to bend over and see the club be well and truly shafted from anyone that's been waiting for the chance. Well as long as Handley gets all the money back that he put into the club for knocking down Tuuta's bar thats the main thing FFS.
  10. Been saying it more years than I can remember but very few agree
  11. 'Offers' like this will lessen the impact of our absence from the league and impact on the game on the whole. For me the only good thing to come from us being thrown out of the league was the adverse effect it would have on the game - to make the RFL realise they can't afford to lose the Featherstone Rovers' of this sport and certainly not to give them more ammunition to get rid of the irritating pain in the a**e that we are to them. As Morrissey said..You're gonna miss me when I'm gone.
  12. ......what and spend a shed load on booze. Who is this benefiting exactly ? Dewsbury being kind and giving us a fix of the game we love so much ......or cashing in on our misfortune ? Depends on how cynical you are. Dewsbury is the nearest ground to my house but I wouldn't go if they paid me.
