Consistency is Rovers’ goal, says co-captain

Hull KR’s Josh Hodgson has spoken of his side’s desire to improve their consistency in the new season.

The Robins had an up-and-down 2013 campaign, finishing 8th despite defeating 12 of the 13 other teams in the league. Co-captain Hodgson recognises his side are capable of taking down the big names but need to ensure they don’t drop points to teams below them.

“We know we have to be consistent this year,” said Hodgson.

“That’s the biggest thing for us. Over the past four years I’ve been at this club, we’ve beaten the top teams on our good days.

“We need to have more of those good days and be more cut-throat.

“We beat everybody with the exception of Wigan last year which shows we can do it.

“But we lost to every side too. We have to beat the sides at the top and the bottom of the table. If we can do that, then it means we’re being consistent.”
