Wigan half back or hooker Sam Powell has been ruled out of Saturday's World Club Challenge after sustaining an ankle injury in training.
An initial diagnosis has ruled him out of the game with Sydney Roosters whilst the full extent of the injury will be investigated by Wigan's specialists on their return to the UK next week.
