Wane and Wigan relishing “massive challenge” against Warrington

Wigan coach Shaun Wane believes Warrington are real contenders for the Grand Final and admits his side will face a “massive challenge” to slow the Wolves’ momentum.

The Warriors host Tony Smith’s men in a televised contest on Thursday night, with both teams come off impressive wins over top eight opposition.

Wane told Wigan Today: “Right now they have the bit between the teeth and all their main players are up and firing.

“I’ve watched them play over the last few weeks and they play some good, attractive Rugby League. When they’re attacking they look unstoppable, so we’ve got to stay with them, complete our sets and put them under pressure.

“It’s a massive challenge – but one we’re desperately looking forward to.”
