On Wednesday, we revealed how League 1 side Gloucestershire All Golds were to host an open trial day at the end of this month to recruit new players ahead of the 2015 season.
Well, they aren’t the only club to host such an event – with two more clubs in the third tier set to have open trials this weekend. South Wales Scorpions are to have an open trial this Saturday at their new Centre of Sporting Excellence at 9:30am – with the trial lasting no more than two hours.
The Scorpions have a prime example of the success from these trials – after Kyle Scrivens switched codes last year, he made the full Wales squad for the European Championships this Autumn. Anyone interested should email coach Mike Grady.
And Oxford will also be hosting trials for potential new players, with their open day taking place this Sunday. That will be held at their ground at 12:00pm, with kick off taking place at 2:00pm in the afternoon.
