Leeds and Wigan set for biggest crowd of season

Tonight’s televised Super League clash between Leeds and Wigan Warriors could be set to post the biggest crowd of Super League XX so far, it has been revealed.

As well as the biggest crowd of 2015 to date, Leeds will also create history by setting their biggest attendance in Super League against Wigan, too.

Leeds have already sold two stands out, including the popular South Stand, and with the Rhinos promising a full night of entertainment from when the gates open at 5pm, the club are keen to break records live in front of the Sky cameras.

“The game against Wigan is always a fixture that fans circle on the fixture calendar as a ‘must see’ match,” said Leeds’ head of marketing, Abigail Furniss.

“It would be a tremendous message to send out if we can break our Super League record against Wigan. Wigan have already sold over 1,000 tickets so it will be a great atmosphere. We have been contacted by a number of fans who are coming for the first time to see a Super League game which highlights the appeal of a Leeds v Wigan clash.”
