Leeds Rhinos coach Brian McDermott has confirmed that prop Kylie Leuluai could be set to miss up to six weeks of action with a shoulder injury.
McDermott confirmed that the veteran forward needs an operation to fix the shoulder up, and will miss between four and six weeks of action.
However, the news is better than first feared, as Leeds initially thought Leuluai could miss a whopping three months of action at first.
“He is going to have an operation on a shoulder,” McDermott told the Yorkshire Post.
“We thought it was his biceps that was the problem, but he’s actually got a bit of floating tissue in his shoulder which he’s going to have cleaned out.
“He will be out for anything from between four to six weeks, which by his standards is three.”
