Bradford Bulls have announced the successful appeal of a decision handed down against the club earlier this year.
They were issued with an ‘official warning’ for ‘prejudicial conduct’ by the Rugby Football League back in April, relating to the behaviour of some members of its staff at the round one Kingstone Press Championship game between the Bulls and Leigh Centurions.
However, an independent tribunal have since ruled they were “not comfortably satisfied that the charges brought against Bradford could be proved”.
A Bulls spokesperson said: “The club was always confident that the Independent Appeals Panel would arrive at an amicable decision.
“We would like to thank everyone involved in the process.”
Meanwhile, the appeals tribunal also halved a £2,000 fine imposed on the club for having 14 players on the pitch during a Championship fixture against Dewsbury Rams played on June 14.
The tribunal accepted the offence was serious but felt, given the circumstances, a fine of £1,000 was more appropriate for a Championship club.
