Castleford Tigers coach Daryl Powell believes that the make-up of his squad for 2016 is looking strong for next season.
The Tigers have only confirmed two new faces for next year – Ben Crooks and Greg Minikin – but Gadwin Springer and Paul McShane did join mid-season to boost their squad early.
And Powell says he’s excited about the potential of his squad as they look to improve on this season’s fifth-placed finish.
“For next year there’s a few players with a fair bit of potential about them,” Powell said.
“Ben Crooks everyone knows about. He’s been out in Australia and if he can reproduce the form he showed previously then he’s going to be something special on the end of our half-backs.
“We’ve got two new recruits in who’ve already played with us this year so they should be good straight away.
“And we’ve got a couple of new faces that hopefully will add to us as well.
“I think we’re looking pretty strong for next year.”
