Keighley Cougars will leave the number six shirt vacant next season in memory of the late Danny Jones.
Coach Paul March announced his squad numbers for the new season last night with a Jones’ old shirt remaining retired and a number of last year’s players promoted following impressive performances in 2015.
It now looks as though the Cougars squad is complete following the re-signing of Ross Peltier and the promotion of Alfie Seeley to the first team.
Peltier drops down to squad number 35 after his new deal was not signed until after the squad list had been submitted.
