McGillvary warns that he can get even better in 2016

Huddersfield Giants winger Jermaine McGillvary has warned that despite the best year of his career to date, he can get even better as a player this season.

McGillvary finished 2015 as Super League’s top try-scorer and even ended up in the England side that won the Test series against New Zealand, but he told the Huddersfield Examiner that there’s more to come.

The winger believes that his strong end to last season and his experience with England will only do good things for his career moving forward.

“Obviously, I know I’m far from perfect as a player and I’m far from being the best,” he said.

“But with the finish I had to the season and with the way things went in the trials, I’m confident I can be even better next season.

“I can’t wait to test myself out and build on what I’ve already achieved.”

McGillvary crossed for a try during his first appearance of 2016 – the pre-season victory against Catalans last Saturday.
