Influential hooker Adam O’Brien believes the Bulls are primed for success after tasting agony in the Million Pound Game last year.
Bradford narrowly missed out on promotion last year after falling to defeat at Wakefield in the winner-takes-all contest.
Although that defeat remains raw, O’Brien insists the setback has made them stronger.
“It’s going to be in the back of our heads,” O’Brien told TotalRL.
“We had a young side and we still do now. It’s a learning curve for us but a good thing for us and we know how it feels to be in a massive Million Pound Game and now we can push on and get up to the Super League.”
Inevitably, Leigh stand out as their main rivals throughout the course of the regular Championship season, although the resignation of Paul Rowley last week has left some questioning that.
However, O’Brien is of the opinion that there are far more teams than just Leigh that pose a threat to them this year.
“With Leigh and the stuff that has gone on it might upset the camp,” he said.
“But there are other teams that have signed well this year and will be challenging in this Championship. It’s going to be a tough competition but we’re looking forward to the challenge.”
