Leigh Centurions are set to decide the immediate futures of loan duo Richie Owen and Lewis Charnock this week.
Both players’ initial one-month loan period expired after the Easter weekend.
Centurions coach Neil Jukes explained: “I spoke to Chris Chester about Richie last week.
“Wakefield will look where they’re at regarding available bodies after Easter and make a decision then.
“It’s the same situation with Lewis Charnock, but Richard Whiting still has another four weeks.”
Jukes is also hoping that centre Greg Worthington will be available for Sunday’s trip to Dewsbury Rams following his adductor complaint.
But Rangi Chase could not return to training last week as had been hoped.
Gareth Hock, Cory Paterson, Tom Spencer and Liam Kay have all been struggling with a flu bug of late and missed Thursday night’s game with Swinton.
Jukes, meanwhile, is looking forward to his side’s Challenge Cup trip to Toulouse.
He added: “It’s a tough one because they’re full-time and they’re flying in their division at the moment, although I’m sure they’re expecting a tougher test against us.
“With the away crowd and travelling it will be a difficult place to go, but at the same time it’s a good opportunity for the guys to spend some time together and enhance the bond within the group.”
