Kavanagh extends Bradford stay

Bradford Bulls forward Ben Kavanagh has signed a new deal with the club until the end of the 2018 season.

The former Widnes Vikings prop only joined the Bulls in the off-season, but has already committed his long-term future to the club with a new long-term deal.

The Scotland international hasn’t featured for the Bulls since picking up an injury in the opening game of the Championship season against Featherstone. However, the 28-year-old is nearing his return and cannot wait to get back out on the pitch.

“I’m really happy to have signed an extension on my contract,” said Kavanagh.

“I’ve really enjoyed my time here since I arrived and I’m looking forward to moving forward with the club.

“Steve and the board and the rest of the club have believed in me and I really want to repay them once I return from injury and show the fans what I can really do.”

“We are thrilled to have Ben with us for another two years,” said Managing Director Steve Ferres.

“He showed his ability in the friendlies and against Featherstone and it will be great to have him back in the side once he returns from injury in the next few weeks.”
