Halifax have signed Salford’s former RAF representative Jordan Andrade on a month’s loan.
The frontrower is expected to start his time at the club in the reserves but could push for a place in Richard Marshall’s first-team.
Marshall said: “We knew about Jordan through Damian Clayton at the RAF, and I spoke to Watto (Salford coach Ian Watson) about him last week.
“Jordan is looking to get some game time, and he’s from Huddersfield, so he’s a local lad for us. I said we’d give him an opportunity, and he trained last week with us.
“He’s got bags of enthusiasm, is a decent size and if he understands what we try to do it will be a good move for him. He’s been at a full-time environment at Salford, now he can see a part-time one and see the differences involved in being a professional.
“He’s only 24, so he’s still got plenty of time.”
Halifax’s 23-14 victory over Dewsbury on Sunday kept them in sixth place, a point behind fourth-placed Batley.
