Parramatta Eels have confirmed that they have granted half-back Kieran Foran a period of absence concerning personal issues away from the field.
Foran, who only signed for Parra at the start of this season after joining the Eels from fellow NRL side Manly, will now have a spells of leave whilst he resolves what the club describe as a “personal matter”.
The New Zealand international made his debut for the Eels in Round 2 of the NRL season this year, but they will now have to do without him for an indefinite period of time.
In a short statement on the Eels website, the club confirmed the decision to let Foran take a period away from the club.
They said: “The Parramatta Eels have granted Kieran Foran an indefinite leave of absence to seek the best possible medical treatment regarding a personal matter.
“The club will be making no further comment and request that the media respect Kieran’s privacy at this time.”
