Salford Red Devils are believed to be close to strengthening their squad further for this season as they close in on the signature of York City Knights’ Kriss Brining.
Brining reportedly turned down an approach from a Championship club, believed to be Featherstone, earlier this year in order to remain at the City Knights.
However, the Red Devils are believed to have offered a transfer fee which has been agreed by both clubs, which will mean Brining heading to the AJ Bell Stadium.
An announcement is expected to be made at some point this week.
