Ryan Atkins could be suspended for three matches after being charged following Warrington’s victory over Widnes.
The centre has been handed a Grade C dangerous contact charge for a tackle on Rhys Hanbury as Warrington progressed to the Challenge Cup semi-final.
The RFL’s website described the offence as follows:
Defending player, in or after effecting a tackle, uses any part of his body forcefully to bend or apply unnecessary pressure to the head and/or neck and/or spinal column of the tackled player so as to keep the tackled player at a disadvantage in or after the tackle.
Danny Brough is facing a two-game suspension after being handed a Grade B high tackle charge.
The Huddersfield halfback was sin-binned during the club’s Challenge Cup quarter-final defeat to Wakefield last week for a high tackle on Reece Lyne.
And the Match Review Panel has subsequently charged the Scotland international for a high tackle, considered to be reckless.
If found guilty, Brough will be handed a one or two game suspension.
Meanwhile, Catalans hooker Eloi Pelissier has been found of a Grade A trip on Fetuli Talanoa during Catalans’ defeat to Hull FC.
