Hull FC coach Lee Radford admits he’s in the dark about what to expect from their clash against St Helens on Friday night – just six days on from winning the Challenge Cup.
Hull were victorious at Wembley last weekend but will be thrown straight back in at the deep end when it comes to their quest to claim the treble this year, when they face Keiron Cunningham’s men in Friday’s televised game.
And Radford told the club’s official website that after some lengthy celebrations, Hull will be determined to get their head back into their league form as quickly as possible.
“We’ve had little preparation for the game having had the game on the Saturday and then celebrated with the fans and families over the last few days,” he said.
“Saturday was a really physical, tough game, so it will be difficult to get up again on Friday.
“But we’re focused on kicking on after Saturday and finishing the season as strong as we can.”
The Black and Whites boss admitted that they will be facing a side with plenty of strike and potential to upset his team – insisting that Cunningham’s side have gone under the radar somewhat of late.
“I really don’t know what to expect on Friday,” said Radford.
“They’re a great side who have been playing very well recently and they’ve slipped under the radar.
“There may be a few changes from Saturday, but we will decide on that when we announce our squad for the game.”
