Sandow insists NRL clubs should be looking at Warrington stars

NRL clubs should be eyeing up a number of top stars from Warrington Wolves: that’s according to the club’s former half-back, Chris Sandow.

Sandow’s departure from the Wolves was confirmed earlier this week – although Warrington have insisted they are retaining his registration after a “clear breach of contract”.

And Sandow said that the likes of Daryl Clark, Chris Hill and Ben Currie are all capable of making the transition to Australia’s big league.

“There’s some really good players in the comp that might be looking at coming to the NRL and should be in the NRL,” Sandow told Fox Sports’ Market Watch.

“Clubs should be looking at some of my teammates. The captain there, Chris Hill, but I think he’s signed for a few years.

“Daryl Clark and Benny Currie, he’s a backrower. I think you’ll see him in the NRL in a few years. He’s not aggressive but he can get aggressive and he’s that player that you want to play with.

“Daryl Clark plays a bit like Issac Luke, always wants to run out of dummy half and stuff like that, he’s a tough defender. They’ve been going really good this year.”
