Blood clot sees McGuire ruled out for months

Hull KR have received a blow ahead of the Magic Weekend after Danny McGuire was ruled out for two months with a blood clot in his leg.

Tim Sheens confirmed on Friday that the club had initially feared he would miss three months of action, although specialists have confirmed it’s not as serious as initially feared.

That said, it’s another huge blow for the Robins, who have up to ten players out injured for Sunday’s game in Newcastle.

Robbie Mulhern is also set for a several week spell on the sideline with a medial ligament injury, further adding to the Robins’ woe.
