As many as four clubs are showing an interest in Featherstone half-back Tom Holmes.
Holmes, who was recently voted ninth in TotalRL’s list of the top 50 players in the Championship, has impressed during his first season at Rovers, as they push for a place in this summer’s Qualifiers.
He has formed an impressive partnership in the Featherstone halves with Martyn Ridyard – and that form has not gone unnoticed.
TotalRL understands a quartet of Super League clubs – spread across both Yorkshire and Lancashire – have identified Holmes as a potential option for their own half-back department next season.
Holmes left hometown club Castleford at the end of last season, having found opportunities difficult to come by given the form of both Luke Gale and Ben Roberts for last season’s eventual Grand Finalists.
He had offers from elsewhere in Super League then, but opted to join John Duffy’s Rovers in their quest for promotion – and he has caught the eye during his first season as a Championship player.
At the time, Duffy said: “Tom is undoubtedly one of the most exciting young talents in the game and he has a massive future ahead of him.”
And it appears his exploits since have attracted numerous potential suitors for the half-back, who is yet to determine where his future lies next season.
