London Broncos are closing in on a significant signing from a rival Super League club.
TotalRL understands the Broncos have been working on a number of deals ahead of their return to the top flight and are close to securing their latest addition to next year’s squad.
Danny Ward has been hard at work following the club’s famous Million Pound Game win, with Matty Fozard, Greg Richards, Nathan Mason and Jordan Abdull already through the doors.
But further recruitment and retention is expected, with their latest business likely to raise eyebrows across the competition.
A number of clubs across the top flight are keen to move players on to ease salary cap pressures, but with the vast majority of clubs already up to cap, the market has become flooded with players who have no options available to them.
The likes of Huddersfield, St Helens and Castleford are among the clubs that can’t get any further business done until existing players leave.
But London have plenty of cap space to play with and are set to benefit with a high-profile signing in the coming days.
