Salford snap up Dudson

Salford Red Devils have completed the signing of prop Gil Dudson.

The former Wigan forward has joined Ian Watson’s side following his departure from Widnes at the end of the season.

A former Challenge Cup winner, the Wales international spent the last three seasons with the Vikings before they were relegated earlier this year.

He’s the club’s third signing this week, following Jansin Turgut and Adam Lawton to the club.

“Gil is a player I’ve known for a long through the Welsh National side and is a player who always gives 100%,” Watson said.

“He has a good skill level but more importantly as a front-rower he has an aggression and competitive attitude to win his battles which is what we need in our middles.

“I know Gil will come in and add to the ‘team first’ mentality that we have here at Salford Red Devils.

“I can’t wait for him to get started.”
