Wigan have finalised a deal for Toronto prop Brad Singleton.
The Cumbrian has signed a three-year deal with the Warriors, which will start in 2021.
Singleton, 27, was among the players who flooded the market after Toronto’s withdrawal, but he was among the first to attract attention, with both Salford and Wigan chasing his signature.
But he has opted for a move to the DW Stadium and will link up with the squad when they return to pre-season training prior to next season.
The Warriors have decided not to take Singleton on for the rest of the year, with the decision made as a result of players taking pay cuts for the rest of the year. Wigan didn’t believe it would be fair to ask their current stars to take wage reductions and then bolster their squad.
He brings an impressive pedigree, having played in two successful Grand Final winning sides.
He was a part of Leeds’ treble-winning side in 2015 and won another Grand Final in 2017.
A move away from Headingley materialised last year after Singleton made 180 appearances in the blue and amber.
He made four appearances for Toronto before lockdown, though a knee injury meant he was set to miss four months of action.
