BACK-ROWER Cole Oakley and winger Ollie Brookes have signed new deals to stay with North Wales Crusaders until the end of 2027.
Well-travelled 24-year-old Oakley has already played for nine clubs, including Warrington Wolves where he made one Super League appearance in 2020.
After loan spells with North Wales in 2023 (from Halifax Panthers) and 2024 (from Swinton Lions), he joined permanently for this season and has scored four tries in twelve appearance in 2025.
Head coach Carl Forster said: “He’s been outstanding to date and what excites me is he’s still young and keen to improve.
“To keep Cole at the club after such strong interest from Championship clubs, it shows what we are building here at Crusaders.”
Brookes joined North Wales at the end of last year from Widnes Vikings and has notched an impressive 16 tries in 15 matches, including ten scores in League One.
Forster added: “Ollie is a class act. “To keep him at the club is a huge plus for us all.
“He’s come into the group during the off-season and slotted in as if he’s been here years, both on and off the field.”
