HUDDERSFIELD GIANTS head coach Luke Robinson wants to have Niall Evalds at the club next season.
Evalds joined Huddersfield on loan from Hull KR in March but has suffered serious injuries in both of his appearances and cannot play again this year.
Rovers head coach Willie Peters has confirmed that the fullback will leave Craven Park at the end of his contract and Robinson has his “fingers crossed” that Evalds will be a Huddersfield player in 2026.
“He’s had a bit of a tough time has Niall if I’m honest,” Robinson said.
“I’ve said all along what a fantastic player (he is).
“We want competition for places. We want strength in depth. If one player is out, we want to be able to throw another one in.
“So the more players we have in our squad the better it is for Giants.”
