MARTIN JEPSON has revealed that Castleford Tigers will be making nine signings for the 2026 Super League season, with the property mogul keen to see his club competing at the top end of the table.
Jepson identified Joe Stimson as a new recruit for next year, with the former Gold Coast Titans forward already playing a part for the Tigers during the 2025 campaign, whilst Brock Greacen, Blake Taaffe, Semi Valemei and Mikaele Ravalawa have also been announced.
Alongside those three, Jepson has explained that nine signings altogether will be coming through the doors of the OneBore Stadium for next season and beyond.
“The reality is that the team that we have next year won’t be the same team that’s out on the field at the moment,” Jepson said.
“Some signings we have announced and some will be announced in the upcoming days and weeks.
“We got Joe Stimson in early and more that will make an immediate nine players coming in next year to add to the squad this year – there will be outgoings as well.
“Hopefully people will be enthused with the people and quality of players we are bringing in. I was determined to up the standard of quality next season.
“We’ve got a very focused board now. There are people giving up a lot of time to get this club back on its feet again.
“We had a board meeting a few weeks ago and one of the things we said is that we want to be competing at the top end of the table and the new signings we are making are with the intention of doing that.
“There are some very exciting signings and more to come.”
Jepson also called on Castleford fans to stick by the club after revealing his staggering investment.
“I appreciate it’s been tough this year, it’s not been an easy watch for anyone. Nobody wants to see a team getting rolled over time and again.
“I appreciate those fans that have stuck with us this year and hopefully you see what we are trying to do.
“There’s been more investment in the past 12 months than there has been in the last 40 years when you see what’s been happening behind the scenes and the investment into next year’s squad.”
