Hull KR veteran Dean Hadley on his future after stellar season

HULL KR veteran Dean Hadley admits he feels as good as he ever has done as the 33-year-old gets ready for a second Grand Final.

Hadley signed a new one-year deal in August which will see his stay at Craven Park extended until the end of the 2027 season.

It’s fair to say that the forward’s performances have not gone unnoticed this campaign, with Hadley being included in the Super League Dream Team as calls for an England call-up continue to grow.

“I’ve been pretty good. I like to think I’ve been consistent and that’s something I pride myself on knowing what you’re going to get from Dean Hadley each week,” he said

“I’ve managed to stay injury free and be available every week.”

Asked how long he can keep going for, Hadley said: “I don’t know to be honest!

“I feel as good now as I’ve ever done. Physically I’m in a better place than when I was younger.

“I’m a pretty fit guy, I’m always training and never miss sessions. For me, it’s to keep improving where I can and mentally still enjoying it.

“It’s about still having that hunger to want to keep improving and turn up for training.

“Things like (being included in the Dream Team) is something I am really proud of and it shows that age is just a number and that it’s about what you do.

“That’s what I pride myself on – my actions. And I will just keep doing what I am doing.”
