Warrington Wolves set for more big signings following arrival of quartet

WARRINGTON WOLVES are set for more big signings following the arrival of quartet Liam Byrne, Tevita Pangai Junior, Toafofoa Sipley and Albert Hopoate.

Hopoate was the latest to come through the doors at the Halliwell Jones Stadium, signing on a two-year deal from Canberra Raiders.

And director of rugby, Gary Chambers, who took interim charge of the Wolves following Daryl Powell’s sacking midway through the 2023 Super League season, has hinted that more new faces are set to arrive at Warrington following a disappointing 2025 campaign.

“We went out and looked at good people to be around the young players we’re bringing through,” Chambers said.

“We’ve got some size in there which we needed and we’ve got some experience. We’re pretty excited about what they’ll bring and they’ll get us on the front foot and allow us to play an expansive way, like we started in 2024.

“We should have some announcements soon. There’s a couple of things in the pipeline that we think we’re pretty close to getting over the line.”
