HULL KR have announced the signing of Catalans Dragons prop Jordan Dezaria on a three-year deal.
The 28-year-old made 88 appearances over two spells with the Dragons but was released earlier this month.
Dezaria has represented France internationally six times, most recently in the victory over Jamaica which sealed their spot at next year’s World Cup.
He has joined the Robins following their release of fellow front-rower Eribe Doro to Bradford Bulls.
Hull KR head coach Willie Peters said: “Jordan is a player that caught my eye when I first arrived (in Super League).
“He’s played exceptionally well against us on a number of occasions.
“I believe he will add to our pack and I’m looking forward to seeing Jordan go to another new level here at Hull KR.”
Dezaria is only the second player over the age of 23 to join the treble winners ahead of next season alongside fellow prop Tom Amone, and the pair will be tasked with filling the gap left by retiring Kiwi great Jared Waerea-Hargreaves.
The rest of Hull KR’s recruits – Jumah Sambou from Oldham, Salford’s Declan Murphy, and Hull FC pair Cobie Wainhouse and Jack Charles – have all been made with an eye on the future.
Dezaria said: “I’ve followed the club’s progress over the past few years and I’m really happy to be linking up with them.
“It’s a team with a lot of ambition and it’s great to be a part of that. I want it to keep going and help the team win more trophies over the next few years. It was an easy decision.
“Me and Willie have a similar vision of rugby league. I like how Hull KR play. It’s a very good opportunity.”
