Liam Knight confirms future following Hull FC speculation

LIAM KNIGHT will be a Hull FC player in 2026, the man himself has confirmed on social media.

There had been speculation about where Knight, who recently married Channel Nine presenter Danika Mason, would be plying his trade next season despite the forward signing a one-year deal after impressing in his 19 games for the Black and Whites.

Reports in Australia had suggested that the 30-year-old was looking for an NRL club whilst recovering from a fractured ankle.

And that was exacerbated when Knight posted a picture of him in another club’s kit on social media earlier this week.

However, the former South Sydney Rabbitohs prop took to Instagram to reveal that he will be a Hull player in 2026.

He said: “Just to clarify – the last footy post that I put up was for a team I played for in January in a 9-a-side competition.

“Hull fans, I’ll be seeing you next year.”

Knight joined Hull in March from Canterbury Bulldogs and all but the first two of his appearances came as a starting prop.

He missed the final seven rounds of the season with his injury as Hull missed out on the play-offs by one place and three points.

The club have attempted to  strengthen their front row this autumn by recruiting former Samoa international Sam Lisone from Leeds Rhinos and Wigan Warriors youngster Harvie Hill, replacing the outgoing Liam Watts and Jack Ashworth.
