Goole Vikings excited by signing of Bradford Bulls youngster

GOOLE VIKINGS have signed young winger Baily Tait from Bradford and handed a new deal to front-rower Alex Holdstock.

Tait, 19, is a product of the Huddersfield academy and featured regularly for Bradford’s reserves last season.

Vikings coach Scott Taylor said: “Like a number of our new signings, Baily comes with one eye on the future.

“He comes with some good recommendations, and we like his honest, hard-working approach. He’s got some raw attributes that we think we can work with.

“There’s no doubt it’ll be a big step up to the Championship, but we’re excited about working with this young crop to give them a chance, either now or in the future.”

Former Doncaster prop Holdstock made 12 appearances for the Vikings in their maiden season and goes again in 2026.

The 24-year-old said: “I can’t wait to go again with a group of lads that are like brothers. I’m excited to see how far we can go after all the hurdles the club had to go through last year.

“I’d like to thank the club for everything – last year they did right by all the boys and staff. Now it’s our turn.”
