BARROW RAIDERS have confirmed the departure of four players following the end of their contracts.
Jamaica international forward Delaine Gittens-Bedward, back-rower James Greenwood, hooker Aaron Smith and loose-forward Tom Wilkinson have left.
Gittens-Bedward spent two seasons at the club, combining his on-field duties with a role with Barrow’s community foundation.
Smith won a Super League Grand Final with St Helens and joined the Raiders ahead of the 2024 season from Leigh, while Wilkinson represented his hometown club 44 times after stepping up from community club Ulverston.
Raiders director of rugby Andy Gaffney said: “As with any club, player departures are part and parcel of an off-season, and all four lads who are leaving can be mightily proud of their contribution to this club.
“In order to refresh the squad heading into 2026 and provide head coach Paul Crarey with the tools he needs to challenge at the right end of the division, departures are unfortunately inevitable.
“Delaine, James, Aaron and Tom have been a pleasure to deal with throughout their time with the club, and we wish them well for whatever comes next.”
