Challenge Cup Third Round draw details revealed

THE Challenge Cup Third Round draw will take place on Monday 12th January.

Two-time Challenge Cup winner John Kear will join broadcaster Ross Fiddes to conduct the draw which will be held at the DIY Kitchens Stadium in Wakefield as part of the 2026 Championship Season launch.

The format of the Third Round will be the same as in 2025, with Super League clubs drawn to face Championship clubs away from home.

The draw will feature 32 teams beginning with one ball drawn to face the 13 competing Super League clubs with the remaining six balls drawn into three ties to complete the lineup.

These Third Round ties will be played over the weekend of February 6-8.

Challenge Cup 2026 key dates

Second Round (Championship clubs enter) – Jan 24-25

Third Round (Super League clubs enter) – Feb 6-8

Fourth Round (last 16) – March 14-15

Quarter Finals – April 11-12

Semi Finals – May 9/10

Final – Saturday May 30
