WIDNES VIKINGS have agreed a professional deal with former Warrington Wolves academy player Deacon Connolly following a successful trial.
Fresh from the Wire system, the 18-year-old centre has signed a one-year contract to become Widnes’ tenth new signing for 2026.
“We brought Deacon in with us on trial and he’s been really impressive,” said Vikings head coach Allan Coleman.
“He might not get a massive amount of game time initially, but long-term I think he’s got real potential and I hope he can showcase his talents.”
Connolly, a Rochdale Mayfield junior, said: “I’m absolutely delighted to sign for a club with such history.
“I hope I can get an opportunity and make a real impact when playing for the club. I want to make the fans and my family proud.”
