Ex-Bradford Bulls and Keighley Cougars forwards join North Wales Crusaders

NORTH WALES CRUSADERS have handed Brad Foster a route back into the professional game, and signed fellow forward Mark Ioane from Keighley Cougars.

Foster, 30, last played at the level with Bradford in 2023, having previously been with Doncaster, Dewsbury, Hunslet and London Broncos.

Coach Dean Muir said: “Brad will really add to our group. He is a great person whose character fits well and I can’t wait to work with him.

“As a player, he is robust, tough and plays good minutes through the middle. He is someone you want to play with. It’s exciting times to be a Crusader and it will only get better.”

Ioane, 35, spent three years with Keighley but requested a release from his contract last week.

“Being able to bring in a middle of Mark’s quality and experience is vital as we continue to grow the squad,” said Muir of the former Gold Coast Titans, St George Illawarra Dragons, London and Leigh player.

“His work ethic and leadership off the field will help us as a group navigate through a long Championship season.”

Ioane said: “I’m looking forward to bringing my experience into a team who play creative, enthusiastic rugby.”
