Kick-off time confirmed for Hull KR v Leeds Rhinos in Las Vegas

HULL KR and Leeds Rhinos fans unable to make the trip to Las Vegas will have to stay up late to watch their sides’ Super League clash.

The battle between the two Yorkshire clubs, the first game of a rugby league triple-header at Allegiant Stadium, will kick-off at 4pm local time (Saturday, February 28) and midnight UK time (Sunday, March 1).

It’s a later slot than the first Super League encounter to take place in Vegas twelve months earlier, when Wigan Warriors and Warrington Wolves began their historic tie at 9.30pm UK time.

That’s because the schedule has been reduced from last year’s four matches – including a women’s international between England and Australia – to three.

For the third successive year the NRL, who organise the event, have two season-opening games taking place.

Newcastle Knights play North Queensland Cowboys first (6.15pm local, 2.15am UK), followed by Canterbury Bulldogs and St George Illawarra Dragons (8.30pm local, 4.30am UK).

The game between Hull KR and Leeds will be broadcast live on Sky Sports in the UK.

It will also be screened by Fox Sports in both Australia and the USA.

Details have also been confirmed for the internationals between the USA and Scotland on Friday, February 27.

A triple-header of, in turn, youth, women’s and men’s matches at Coronado High School, ten miles south-east of Allegiant Stadium, begins at 3.45pm local time.
