RETURNING Barrow Raiders duo Sam Norman and Emma Hutchinson look set to play key roles in 2026 after coach Amanda Wilkinson confirmed her squad for the new season.
The duo missed the majority of last season after going travelling, but did feature for the club at the Nines in the summer during a temporary return to Cumbria.
Norman takes number one, while Chloe Capstick, who played fullback for much of the last campaign, receives the two shirt which was vacated by Shannon Parker at the end of last season.
Hutchinson has been given shirt number five and lines up on that edge with twin sister Claire.
Lucy Dickinson, who made two appearances last season, has been rewarded for an impressive pre-season with a starting shirt number for the first time (eleven), lining up in the back row alongside vice-captain Vanessa Temple.
New signings Blossom Howell and Fern Henderson have received shirt numbers 19 and 24 respectively, while Imogen Smillie (20), Hannah Thompson (21) and Amy Carruthers (22), who all came through the club’s pathways to feature in 2025, have been handed squad numbers for the first time.
