HULL FC boss John Cartwright was delighted to see side finally pick up a first league win since round one.
John Asiata was impressive as Hull defeated Leeds Rhinos 24-16.
Cartwright said: “It was very courageous. You’ve got to be to win any game in Super League.
“With all the ball they (Leeds) had, I thought we were great. It’s good for our confidence.
“I’m so happy that Johnny (Asiata) is injury-free and came through that well.
“So much hinges on Johnny in tight situations. He held his composure, knows what works for him, sticks to it and players around him respond.
“He was great today, as was Jake (Arthur) who really took responsibility on with no Aidan Sezer.”
Scrum-half Sezer could be out for up to six weeks after suffering a pec injury in training.
