WIGAN WARRIORS completely dominated against Bradford Bulls in the only Wheelchair Super League match of the weekend, scoring 21 tries to win 124-13.
They were 58-1 up at the break and went into the lead in the first minute thanks to a Mel Griffith try.
Matt Turner scored the second on nine minutes, the first of four for him before half-time, and Toby Burton-Carter and Jack Heggie each added a brace of tries, while Nathan Roberts scored one.
Wigan’s goal-kicking was on point in the first half with Burton-Carter adding three from four and Heggie kicking all six of his attempts.
Bradford’s only first-half point came when the score was on 34-0 after Keiron Johnson hit a field-goal.
Wigan added eleven tries in the second half, all converted by Heggie.
The first eight came in succession with Adam Rigby opening in the first minute. Phil Roberts added his contribution six minutes later, Turner went over for two more to give him six for the day, Nathan Roberts added another and Oran Spain went over for a treble.
That put the score on 106-1, before Isabelle Wright finally got Bradford’s first try with Johnson converting.
Heggie completed his hat-trick for Wigan with ten minutes to go, but Bradford’s Nathaniel Wright got another try back on 73 minutes, which Johnson improved.
Spain still had time to complete Wigan’s try-scoring with two more. to give him five and complete the rout.
