Leigh Leopards boss Adrian Lam addresses Joe Philbin speculation

LEIGH LEOPARDS head coach Adrian Lam has admitted he is a ‘fan’ of Joe Philbin, after the Warrington Wolves forward was linked with a move to the Leigh Sports Village.

Love Rugby League reported earlier in the week that Philbin was attracting the interest of Leigh and London Broncos.

And Lam has put Leigh’s hat firmly into the ring to sign the 31-year-old, who is out of contract at the end of the 2026 Super League season.

“I’ve always been a fan of Joe’s, even when I was coaching at Wigan,” Lam said.

“Like other players, we need to take into consideration for next year.

“Joe’s name has popped up there, we’re looking through that process and nothing has come of that at the moment.”

It is set to be a big off-season for the Leopards, with first-choice front-rowers Owen Trout and Robbie Mulhern set to leave for Cronulla Sharks and Castleford Tigers respectively.
