Leigh Leopards ‘inspirational’ as Adrian Lam gears up for home-dominated Super League run-in

ADRIAN LAM believes Leigh Leopards’ winning run during their period of away games was “inspirational”.

The Leopards lost just once in a run of five games away from the Progress With Unity Stadium – and that was against reigning Super League champions Hull KR.

They will now end the campaign with seven of their last ten fixtures at home, starting with Saturday’s visit of Castleford Tigers, as they step up their pursuit of a play-off place.

“We’ve missed our home fans and filling the stadium here as well as the fireworks and everything that comes with being a part of the Leopards,” head coach Lam said.

“It’s been seven weeks, so to travel away and have our best block of rugby away from home has been inspirational.

“We have seven out of our last ten games here. It gives us confidence to come back and perform in front of our fans.

“We are not too far away from the top six and that’s pretty exciting. I’m really looking forward to the back half of the season.”
