GOOLE VIKINGS hooker Oliver Morgan is ready to take up where he left off as he aims to finish his first season at the club strongly after returning from a shoulder injury that needed surgery.
The former Warrington teenager was sidelined after he featured in five of Goole’s first seven matches in all competitions, in which he notched two tries, but was back for Saturday’s 28-24 win at home to Dewsbury.
Goole, who have taken Sheffield halfback Lennie Ellis on loan, go to basement side North Wales on Sunday before visiting leaders London Broncos seven days later, with home clashes with Swinton and Doncaster to follow.
Warrington, Morgan’s former club, has provided support to Goole physiotherapist Jordan Mounsey during his recovery.
“Both clubs have been first-class,” he said.
“They’ve been brilliant from day one, putting up with me constantly asking when I could get back into contact and helping me get back out on the grass.
“It’s been a tough couple of months with long rehab sessions and some tough conditioning work, but it’s all been worth it. Now I’m buzzing to be back helping the boys out.
“Hopefully I can give the team a bit of a boost and help us pick up some points over these last four games.”
