ST HELENS prop George Delaney has been ruled out for the rest of the 2026 Super League season with a shoulder injury.
Delaney, who recently played in his 100th career match, is just two games away from making 100 appearances for Saints.
However, that feat will not be achieved during this campaign, with the 22-year-old having shoulder surgery following an injury sustained in the defeat to Wigan Warriors last weekend.
Delaney had played 20 times for Saints in 2026, scoring two tries.
Posting on Instagram, the 22-year-old said: “Surgery done gutted my season has come to a end early tough few months ahead getting back fit ready for the challenge and looking forward to next year🫡.”
