JAMAYNE ISAAKO brought up 1,000 points for the Dolphins as the Queenslanders ended the Sea Eagles’ slim finals hopes.

Despite Tolutau Koula and Connelly Lemuelu both being sin-binned for professional fouls in the first half, it was only 8-0 in the Phins’ favour at half-time before Kristian Woolf’s men cruised home.

The result continues the Eagles’ tumble out of the top eight on the back of six straight losses, while the Dolphins remain in the top-four hunt with their fourth consecutive win.

Fighting to keep their season alive without star fullback Tom Trbojevic (hamstring), Manly had the best of the opening exchanges.

But neither side scored until Isaako slotted a penalty-goal in the 26th minute.

Then after Koula was binned for tackling Jeremy Marshall-King from an offside position, Kodi Nikorima unlocked the Eagles’ defence.

Momentum swung when Lemuelu was punished for his side’s repeated infringements.

But the Dolphins survived unscathed, then after Jason Saab’s try claim was rejected for a forward pass, Selwyn Cobbo extended the visitors’ lead in the left corner.

An Isaako intercept assisted Jack Bostock for the Redcliffe club’s third try.

And after the Bunker chalked off a Lehi Hopoate finish, Isaako capitalised on a neat Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow pass to bring up the 1,000-point milestone.
