HULL KR may have emerged 28-10 winners over Catalans Dragons, but coach Willie Peters has demanded improvement.
The Robins launched into an 18-0 lead in the first quarter of the game, but there was little between the sides thereafter.
With a busy schedule continuing with Tuesday’s visit of Warrington Wolves, Peters believes his defending champions must be better.
“It’s a win and we move on,” was his immediate reaction.
“I thought we were good in the first 20 (minutes) but the (Charlie) Staines try saw us a bit loose.
“We had a good chat at half-time, but in the second half we were average. It was made difficult by the errors, but our defending I was happy with.
“We stuck to our sets in the first half up near 90 per cent, but we made it difficult for ourselves (after that).
“It’s about winning games, especially with a short turnaround. We know it wasn’t a polished performance but we got the two points.
“We will keep ticking the wins off but need to improve. There is an expectation so it is important we deliver.”
