New Hull KR deal for winger Tom Davies

TOM DAVIES has signed a two-year contract extension with Hull KR.

The one-cap England winger, 29, joined the Robins ahead of last season from Catalans Dragons and scored 21 tries in 32 appearances across their treble-winning campaign.

He’s added a further 15 tries in 31 games this year, taking him to 134 in 242 over a career which began with Wigan Warriors.

“I’ve loved my time at the club since I joined and I’m really happy to extend my time here,” said Davies.

“I want to say thank you to all to my teammates for making the last two years so special on and off the field.”

News of Davies’ new deal through to 2029 comes days after confirmation that fellow winger Joe Burgess will leave the club at the end of their play-off campaign.

The Robins have also said that Ryan Hampshire and Tevita Pangai Jr will leave when their short-term contracts expire.

Versatile back Hampshire has made seven appearances while suspension-prone prop Pangai Jr has played just five times.

Hull KR travel to Warrington Wolves this Saturday in a play-off eliminator after finishing sixth in the regular season.
